Simple chiffon saree

Is printed chiffon saree a good choice for wedding function ?

Chiffon sarees are a delicate and timeless piece of beauty. They have been in rage for ages. Their sheer and flowy fabric makes any kind of body alluring. Mesmerized by its aesthetics, I bought a dust pink chiffon saree with crimson flowers printed all over it. It looked nothing but graceful and I just fell in love with it, the moment I saw it. I picked it up without having any second thoughts. I showed it to all my friends and they too find it delightful.

Everyone suggested that it’s a pretty saree for casual lunch or a day event. Waiting for a suitable event, that saree rested in my closet for months. Besides, I could never find the right occasion to drape it on. So, When I had to attend my friend’s wedding this February, I ditched my lehenga at the eleventh hour and decided to go for “my printed chiffon saree”.

Wedding function

When I told my friends that I was going to wear my simple chiffon saree, their response was not so positive. They advised that it might not go with the occasion and I would look too plain and simple. I was disheartened but being an adamant girl, I just turned a deaf ear to all those suggestions. I enlist my confidence to do justice to the beauty of “my printed chiffon saree”. Moving on to my look, I paired my saree with a maroon sleeveless blouse along with a delicate pearl necklace and shimmery cluster ear studs. Basically, I kept my look very simple and added a little oomph with dark lips and soft curls. The end result came out to be prettier than I thought.

My experience

The soft, translucent fabric hugged my body perfectly. I was a lot more confident when I saw myself in the mirror. This look was a breath of fresh air and made me stand out among the banarasi and embroidered sarees. It made all the heads turn and I garnered countless compliments for my refreshing look.

Therefore, I advise you to break the monotony and try something different this wedding season. Invent a new combination, experiment with your looks, be confident, and enjoy the admiration. Furthermore, apart from chiffon, you can go for organza saree, which has been the latest fashion rage.

So, next time when you’re gonna attend a wedding function give your chiffon saree a chance and believe me you won’t regret it.
